The Role
Reporting to the Design Section Lead, you will be an Electrical Design Engineer working primarily with Ergo's distribution and generation partners. This will involve engaging with key clients, utilising your power knowledge to understand their challenges before partnering with internal CAD Designers and engineers to create detailed designs.
This will see you working on Ergo's clients new and ongoing developments, specialising in primary or secondary design across distribution & transmission projects. The role presents an opportunity to hone your tried and tested skillset whilst continuing to develop in new specialist areas. Collaborating with the internal team of experienced Power Systems and Protection Engineers, the role presents a unique opportunity for you to tackle the industries greatest challenges.
About You
Coming from an electrical design background in distribution you will be an experienced design engineer with a passion for the growing energy sector. Bringing extensive exposure across a range of key design projects, you will be well versed with industry design standards. Utilising your ability to document and openly discuss your technical solutions with clients is essential for the role.
This may see you coming from another Design Engineer role with a network, or related consultancy, seeking the opportunity to step into a senior position whilst taking technical ownership on a range of key projects. Alternatively, you may be in an engineering role in an industrial or oil & gas sector, bringing strong experience on HV / MV private networks, with exposure to the greater power sector.
