We are the New Zealand official distributor for KAUP, a worlwide leader in forklift attachments.
Located in East Tamaki, we are looking to fill a position for a fitter-turner.
REPORTING TO : General Manager
Working hours : 40 hours per week at our East Tamaki workshop.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Ability to work with manual lather.
- Ability to use milling machine.
- Ability to use CNC machinery (milling and profile cutting highly regarded).
- Machine components to required tolerances and precision.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Read sketches, drawings and instructions to complete each job.
- Ability to communicate with colleagues to ensure the job is completed on time.
- Maintain good communication with supervisor and administration to ensure all material and information is complete prior to job commencing.
- Complete paperwork for each job as required indicating hours spent, materials used, and any other notes required.
- Mark up drawings and specifications with ‘as built’ status when / where required.
- Maintain responsibility of all tools, equipment and working space assigned to them.
- Comply with the highest health and safety standard practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.Minimum of 1 year of continuous lathe and or milling machine usage.Relevant trade qualification preferred.Willingness to participate in team safety meetings.Fluency in English.Forklift licence.Health and Safety training would be favourable.BENEFITS :
