- About the Role
- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant to join the RCTS Clinical Trials Unit, at Palmerston North Hospital covering the disciplines of Radiation Oncology, Clinical Haematology and Medical Oncology.This role offers the opportunity to be involved in the cancer treatment development process through Clinical Trials.
The role will involve supporting the clinical trials nursing and radiation team with patient recruitment to Clinical Trials, and ongoing administrative support for research being undertaken.
The successful applicant will work closely with nurses, radiation therapists, patients and the multidisciplinary team and external sponsors.This is a temporary, 1.0FTE position working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm, for 12 months.

About youWe are looking for a dynamic and resilient team member with proven skills in the following areas :Broad administrative or assistant experience (minimum of 3 years)Excellent interpersonal and working relationshipsAttention to detail and well organisedSound written communicationComputer skillsPrevious experience within a hospital setting or within clinical trial research would be an advantage.Education and training will be provided to the successful applicant.
