Mo te Turanga | About the Role We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Southern Cross Hospital in a

Reporting to the Patient Services Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality care to patients.

Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform a range of direct and indirect tasks that contribute to patient comfort and wellbeing, as well as ensuring smooth ward operations.

This position involves assisting with patient services such as meal support, fluid balance monitoring, and patient transfers, alongside maintaining ward utility areas, managing linen supplies, and cleaning equipment.

You will also uphold hospital policies, health and safety standards, and demonstrate cultural awareness and respect in line with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

Ongoing professional development is encouraged, and you'll have opportunities to grow your skills through training and education.
