We seek an experienced and compassionate guidance counsellor to join our school community.This is a fixed term, full-time position covering a six-month period of parental leave commencing 28January 2026.An alternate start date is negotiable.Our guidance counsellor is an integral member of our wider pastoral team, supporting the social, emotional and educational wellbeing of our students.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with staff, students and their whanau, providing quality guidance and support.Our ideal candidate will : hold a current membership or provisional status with NZAC or similar professional bodyhave proven experience working with adolescents and their whanau, ideally in a school settingprovideindividual and group counselling for students Y7-13be able to work effectively in multicultural contextsmaintain strong relationships with external agencies and support servicescontribute to the development and implementation of schoolwide wellbeing initiatives.Join us at Te Paepae o Aotea.
