Waitangi Treaty Grounds is looking for a Cafe Manager to join the Whare Waka Café team, located within the Waitangi Treaty Grounds.
This pivotal permanent role is responsible for providing sustenance to manuhuri visiting Aotearoa New Zealand's most significant site as well as the local community.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Creating a welcoming Café environment with excellent food and service
Overseeing the F&B component of Waitangi's signature Hangi and Concert product
Managing a young and enthusiastic Café team
Promoting a culture of continual learning and improvement
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Café
Ensuring staff adhere with company policies, procedures and all related food, health & safety compliance requirements.
What you'll need to be successful | O Pukenga
This permanent minimum 30hr role is suited to someone who is passionate about manaakitanga and who would relish the challenge of contributing to an amazing experience at this stunning location.
(Note : From October - April this is a full time role).
Our Ideal Candidate Will
Have 2-3yrs experience managing a busy Café environment
Take pride in and have a commitment to excellent food and service standards
Have good leadership & communication skills
Enjoy developing and leading a young team.
Have flexible working hours, including weekends and weekdays.
Hold a valid Duty Manager Certificate
