Health & Safety Advisor

The opportunity

Downers Energy & Utilities business are seeking their next superstar Health & Safety Advisor to support the South Island Water contracts.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity with the successful individual being based in Christchurch with regular travel to Dunedin and Invercargill.

Reporting directly to the HSE Manager - Water & Automation you will form part of a team of 3 advisors who are based across the wider NZ supporting alternate water contracts whilst working collaboratively together.

What you'll do

As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will provide technical advice, support, coaching and mentoring to internal stakeholders across our water business.

This dynamic role will have a mix of office and site-based exposure and will have a focus on bringing people together to ensure we achieve our Safety objectives whilst contributing to the innovation of the business.

What we're looking for

Cert IV in WHS partnered with demonstrated experience in a similar role.

ICAM Lead Investigator and auditing qualifications are desirable.

Excellent written and verbal skills with an emphasis on reporting.

The ability to in train, coach and develop various stakeholders on site and in the office.

Collaborative communication style with the ability to work effectively as a member of a team which contributes to relationships creating success.
