Variety of work across asphalt, crushing, and civil construction machinery at different project sites
About the role
We are currently working with a respected, independent civil and surfacing contractor with a modern operation in South Auckland. They design and manufacture their own asphalt mixes, operate a state-of-the-art asphalt plant, and run a fleet of high-performance paving, milling, and chip-sealing equipment across a wide range of projects —from carparks to major motorways.
The maintenance team is now looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to keep their fleet running smoothly on-site at multiple locations. You’ll be servicing, repairing, and diagnosing pavers, rollers, milling machines, crushers, loaders, and support vehicles directly in the field, ensuring projects stay on track.
About you :
Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Proven experience with crushing, asphalt, or civil construction equipment
Diagnostic and hydraulic systems knowledge
Reliable, proactive, and safety conscious attitude
Class 2 license and WTR endorsements are a plus but not essential
Comfortable working on-site, traveling between projects, and working independently
If you take pride in your work, enjoy hands on problem solving, and want to be part of a team that values quality and safety, we’d love to hear from you.
