You will be working with a passionate team providing climate change advice from high-level corporate strategies through to practical tangible implementation across a vast array of projects.You will have the scope to utilise the vast and collective expertise developed over 100+ years within Beca across multiple disciplines to turn actions into reality, offering our clients end-to-end solutions that few others can provide.

At Beca you will have the opportunity to truly make a difference to clients' climate change related challenges, supporting them to enhance climate resilience in their organisations and communities.As a Senior Associate – Climate Resilience, you will be working in a complex and fast-paced environment tackling climate change adaptation and climate risk.

You will partner with our clients, develop an understanding of their business, goals and objectives, and then provide robust and pragmatic solutions to shape a resilient future together.You will largely work with New Zealand and Pacific clients and are expected to leverage your existing network to pursue climate resilience work, grow our offering into new markets and geographies, and deliver multi-disciplinary projects across local and central government, transport, water, energy and defence.In this role, you will technically lead projects, coach juniors, lead data analysis, facilitate workshops, prepare reports, and contribute to business strategy and new ideas.

You will be backed by Beca's subject matter experts across environmental, engineering, design, digital and project delivery practice areas, providing you access to industry knowledge and established client relationships.Ko wai koe | About youThis role will enable you to bring your passion for climate change, combining it with your existing experience and expertise to solve real-world client problems.

You will be motivated, ready to grow your career, and build new and enduring relationships with clients.Applicants may come from consulting experience, government or policy agencies, or broader industry climate change resilience experience, looking to make a greater impact.SkillsDemonstrable technical experience leading climate adaptation or climate risk initiatives in New Zealand or the Pacific.Credible, comfortable and effective communicator of climate change knowledge and expertise.Experience engaging clients, pursuing and winning projects, and growing service offerings.Recognised expertise and network within the New Zealand or Pacific market in climate change advisory.Willingness to travel within New Zealand and internationally periodically.Ability to lead and coach junior staff and work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, often remotely.Adaptable and versatile to a wide range of work, opportunities and projects.Ability to handle multiple workstreams or projects simultaneously.Highly motivated, self-directed, critically minded and a problem solver.Hold a relevant tertiary qualification across environmental science, engineering, planning, finance, economics, business, statistics, or other climate resilience related disciplines.Ko wai matou | About usBeca is one of Asia Pacific's largest independent advisory, design, and engineering consultancies.
