Support our ākonga (students) to gain their NCEA from levels 1-3.

The Secondary Tertiary High School is quite different to a conventional mainstream school setting that functions within MIT- and offers Y11-13 ākonga a second chance to re-engage with NCEA levels 1-3. It has a small roll (200 students) and very low teacher-student ratio because its purpose is to manaaki our rangatahi for whom mainstream high schools are not meeting their needs.

The successful applicant will need a current teacher registration, proven recent teaching experience with NCEA in a NZ secondary school, a current teaching qualification and recent experience in assessing NCEA te reo Māori from Years 11 to 12. Applicants should also supply information on supporting subjects. This could be Performing Arts, (Haka and Waiata) or another subject of your choice.

We provide a high level of pastoral care and dedicated teaching time, and plenty of whānau involvement to support our rangatahi to be successful.
