Responsibilities
Deliver modern, research-based pedagogy across the curriculum, including play-based learning and a Structured Literacy Approach.
Integrate te reo Maori and Tikanga Maori throughout lessons.
Use the Digital Maori Integrated Curriculum (DMIC) approach to mathematics for Y3–4 learners.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan, assess and adapt instruction.
Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to school improvement.
Qualifications
Certificated teacher for Primary and Intermediate (Years 1–8) or equivalent.
Experience in a play-based learning environment in Years 1–4.
Experience with a Structured Literacy Approach in Years 1–4.
Preferred experience with the DMIC approach to mathematics for Years 3–4.
Ability to integrate te reo Maori and Tikanga Maori across the curriculum.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
