We currently offer Pasifika studies as a specific subject from Y10 through to NCEA Level 3, along with it being included in the Y9 social studies curriculum.
This is directly to meet the needs of our Pasifika students, who represent the second largest and fastest growing ethnic group at our school.About Waitaki Boys\' High SchoolWaitaki Boys\' High School is a state, single-sex school in the beautiful seaside town of Oamaru in North Otago.
As a town Oamaru has reputedly the second-fastest growing Pasifika population in Aotearoa, outside of Auckland.
Currently around 25% of the town\'s population are Pasifika.
At Waitaki Boys\', our roll has approximately 440 students.
In recent years the school has undergone a positive transformation.

This person will need to be passionate about boys\' education and be able to lead pedagogy that works best for boys.
They will also be required to be heavily involved in extracurricular activities involving our Pasifika students.
They will have a considerable profile around the school and be expected to role model best practice at all times.
