Kuratau School (U3) invites applications for a permanent teaching position starting in
Imagine teaching where the lake and mountains are your backdrop.
Our kura is nestled in a stunning natural environment, just 20 minutes from Turangi and an hour from Taupo, offering rich, hands-on learning experiences inspired by our unique setting.
We're looking for a teacher who :
Builds strong, positive relationships with akonga, whanau, staff, and the wider community.
Communicates effectively and works collaboratively as part of a team.
Demonstrates sound curriculum knowledge and applies effective pedagogies, with a strong emphasis on explicit teaching (including Structured Literacy).
Notices, recognises, and responds to learners' needs while upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Is committed to ongoing professional learning and applying it in practice.
Motivates learners to LEARN, GROW & LEAD with enthusiasm and a sense of humour.
Enjoys working with a passionate team focused on causing learning for our tamariki.
Dependent on your skill set, this position may attract a fixed-term management unit.
This position is eligible for the Teaching Bonding Scheme.
