The Insights and Performance team is pivotal within ENZ, sharing planning frameworks, reporting, and performance monitoring to ensure our strategic goals are translated into measurable outcomes.

Te āhua o Te Tūrunga – The nature of the position

Reporting To The Director Insights & Performance, You Will

  • Lead ENZ's enterprise-wide business planning and performance reporting frameworks
  • Produce timely, accurate, and meaningful performance reporting
  • Build systems and capability that embed best practice measurement aligned with strategy
  • Facilitate discussions to assess performance and demonstrate impact
  • Improve monitoring systems and processes across business groups
  • Support delivery of key accountability documents, including the SPE and SOI

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have

  • Strong analytical skills and experience delivering high-quality performance reporting
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead strategic conversations
  • A systems‑thinking and continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • You’ll Also Bring

  • 4+ years' experience in public sector planning, reporting, and accountability
  • Solid understanding of performance frameworks and organisation‑wide systems
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (or extensive relevant experience)
  • Knowledge of New Zealand's education sector and / or marketing (advantageous)
  • The remuneration range for this role is $105 – $125 K.
