You will be responsible for managing the quality assurance program for the Quarries and Industries team. You will complete the daily Laboratory testing operations for materials used in asphalt production, sealing chip, basecourse, and concrete aggregates along with other non-frequent tests.Assisting the Quarries Manager, you will be focused on undertaking the workflow through the site sampling, testing and monitoring, to accredited laboratory testing, then collating, reporting and monitoring results ensuring testing is completed as efficiently as possible. You will deliver work for customers safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard.Typically, hours of work are Monday to Friday 7 : 00am to 4 : 00pm. Due to the varied nature of our work activities the starting and finishing times may be changed from time to time (with consultation) including occasional weekend work and / or night work.

  • ddition to the above you will :
  • Maintain confidentiality on all analysis and testing undertaken on site and held with the laboratory; no information should be made available to the public or other companies without approval.
  • Maintain all laboratory test equipment to ensure reliability and is in calibration at the time of use.
  • Ensure by diligent following of processes, the laboratory continues to meet the requirements of ISO17025 (Code of good laboratory practice) and the laboratory remains IANZ accredited.
  • Friendly and responsive to customer orders, requests and complaints.
  • Ensure testing meets customer demands including reporting trends and providing advice across the Quarries and Industries (Asphalt) divisions, and the Laboratory.

  • We’re
  • looking for someone with :
  • Trade qualification in materials testing or similar.
  • Safety-related certification.
  • Competent understanding of material properties.
  • Minimum 3 years lab experience.
  • Puts safety first.
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members.
