Join an award-winning social team that loves creative storytelling, experiments fearlessly with new formats, and lives for the intersection of pop culture and Kiwi TV.
As a Social Media Editor reporting to Digital Marketing Manager, your focus will be on
- Plan, produce and post compelling content across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook that drives reach, engagement and love for TVNZ+.
- Clip key show moments, craft stories, make memes, add captions and creative treatments that make content pop. Experiment, innovate, and move fast.
- Manage paid social investment, from audience targeting and budget allocation to optimisation and performance tracking.
- Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and wider Digital Media team to translate show marketing briefs into smart, social-first ideas – and execute campaigns flawlessly.
- Keep a finger firmly on the pulse of pop culture and trends. Connecting our content and characters to what’s happening in the wider world.
- Proactively identify and produce content with show talent (launch events, exit interviews, social collabs) that fans can’t get enough of.

To be successful, you will be need to have the following
Deep understanding of social platforms and what makes content perform, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.A passion for entertainment, shows, movies, sport, news, and the cultural moments people talk about.Strong copywriting and storytelling skills that translate brand voice into social tone.Experience analysing social metrics and drawing insights that shape future content.Strong video editing skills especially with Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut. AfterEffects is advantageous.Strength in GFX particularly in Canva and Adobe Photoshop, ability to adhere to brand guidelines.Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving creative environment.A collaborative spirit, able to quickly build productive relationships across teams and with talent.Curiosity, creativity, and initiative – always looking for the next big idea.Apply Now as we will be regularly reviewing applications and we may withdraw the job ad at any time.
