- Air Quality Environmental Technician
- specialising in
- Odour Monitoring
- to join our Air Quality department. This role is perfect for someone who wants to help safeguard local communities by monitoring odour impacts for a healthier environment.Odour monitoring is a growing field and you will manage day-to-day operations of our leading-edge odour testing laboratory, overseeing testing, scheduling, performance monitoring, equipment calibration, and maintenance. You will also support other air quality monitoring projects and deliver timely reporting and great customer service.
- Key Responsibilities
- Oversee our odour laboratory operations and coordination of a small team of odour panellists.
- Conduct calibration, maintenance, and performance monitoring of laboratory equipment
- Collect, prepare, and analyse odour samples following IANZ accredited methods
- Operate and maintain sampling equipment in the field
- Coordinate with clients to ensure high-quality service and timely reporting
- Strictly adhere to health, safety, and quality procedures, maintaining accurate documentation
- Contribute to broader environmental air quality monitoring projects

- To succeed in this role, you will have :
- A tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering (preferably Chemistry or Environmental).
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to occasionally travel within New Zealand.
- A full driver's licence.You will also need to be
- physically fit
- for occasional heavy lifting.
