• Air Quality Environmental Technician
• specialising in
• Odour Monitoring
• to join our Air Quality department. This role is perfect for someone who wants to help safeguard local communities by monitoring odour impacts for a healthier environment.Odour monitoring is a growing field and you will manage day-to-day operations of our leading-edge odour testing laboratory, overseeing testing, scheduling, performance monitoring, equipment calibration, and maintenance. You will also support other air quality monitoring projects and deliver timely reporting and great customer service.
• Key Responsibilities
• Oversee our odour laboratory operations and coordination of a small team of odour panellists.
• Conduct calibration, maintenance, and performance monitoring of laboratory equipment
• Collect, prepare, and analyse odour samples following IANZ accredited methods
• Operate and maintain sampling equipment in the field
• Coordinate with clients to ensure high-quality service and timely reporting
• Strictly adhere to health, safety, and quality procedures, maintaining accurate documentation
• Contribute to broader environmental air quality monitoring projects

• To succeed in this role, you will have :
• A tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering (preferably Chemistry or Environmental).
• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to occasionally travel within New Zealand.
• A full driver's licence.You will also need to be
• physically fit
• for occasional heavy lifting.
