Materials Planner - Wiri

Reporting to the Category Planner -Salty, this full time, permanent role is based at our iconic Wiri manufacturing plant.

We are seeking an experienced Material Planner.

This position plays a pivotal role in leveraging the strategic partnership with suppliers to ensure procurement requirements are met within requirements of quality, delivery and cost.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, external suppliers to execute the materials plan and achieve shared goals.

Responsibilities

Review purchase requisitions against the master production schedule and inventory records in SAP.

Evaluate the accuracy of item master records – monthly master data reviews.

Ensure inventory goals and objectives are met and effectively manage surplus and obsolete inventories.

Ensure uninterrupted flow of material to support manufacturing and customer service.

Support with NPD projects – manage all requirements to make projects successful.

Manage lead times and resolve any supply chain disruptions swiftly.

Support teammates and contribute to the overall success of the materials planning function.

What you'll bring to the role

Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain / logistics or similar will be an advantage.

Minimum of 5 years relevant planning or materials planning experience.

Previous experience in a supply chain / FMCG / manufacturing environment is preferred.

Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is an extra tick.

Highly organized with effective planning and prioritising skills.

Problem solving with a proactive approach to resolution / escalation of issues.

Excellent communication, teamwork and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Drive for results, ability to respond quickly and work under pressure – while maintaining a positive team environment.

Confidence in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Resilience, positivity, and a solutions-focused approach.
