Job description

Kidz Therapy is growing and we are looking for experienced Clinical Art Therapist to work remotely with our amazing multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, speech-language therapists, art therapists and consultants. We're interested in speaking with psychologists / psychotherapists from all over New Zealand.

About the role :

Kidz Therapy works with children, teenagers, young adults and their families to provide evidence-based Art Therapy support. You will need to be able to :

  • Make sound evidence-based clinical judgements in order to provide high-quality age-appropriate therapy for children, young people and whānau
  • Undertake a range of therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, Sand tray / Art therapy etc., (not exclusive)
  • Liaise with parents / schools if necessary, and be a collaborative team player
  • If required, liaise and work collaboratively with other agencies / professionals / schools and other members of our team
  • Be an effective communicator with excellent relationship skills and responsive communication methods
  • Be flexible and willing to accommodate change

You will need to be :

  • ANZACATA registered Clinical Art Therapist with current registration membership to your relevant body
  • A graduate with at a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience
  • Experienced in working with young children, teenagers young adults and their families
  • Able to produce reports to a high standard

    • If you enjoy client contact, problem solving and having flexible work hours, then this is the role for you. This is a part-time role and may build over time.
