Marketing Manager – Freelance

Our client is New Zealand’s leading wholesale distributor of skincare, beauty products and devices. Based in Christchurch CBD, they are looking for a freelance Marketing Manager to support the team while they are employing a permanent placement.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing marketing team, ensuring the team helps achieve business goals, strengthens client relationships, and drives business growth. This role spans strategy and execution across multiple marketing channels and requires an understanding of both B2B and B2C purchasing behaviour.

The right person for this role will bring creativity, flair and innovation, alongside a strategic and disciplined approach to help the business achieve its vision, managing the marketing strategy, telling the story to build brand recognition, confidence and adoption, and development of the marketing team. You will be as comfortable on the tools as you are setting strategy, with a focus on end-to-end content campaigns.

You will have experience analysing data and results to develop actionable insights that drive future activity. Experience using HubSpot CRM or similar CRM platforms and the ability to implement AI and automation tools to improve marketing effectiveness.

This is a small, creative and driven team, offering lots of great perks. Experience in retail marketing is preferred, in the beauty industry is ideal, but not a must. This is a full-time, office-based role. January 2025 start.
