Senior Data Lineage and Metadata Specialist - IDMC Business OperationsJoin to apply for the Senior Data Lineage and Metadata Specialist - IDMC Business Operations role at Mo te turanga | About the Role We're seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Senior Data Lineage and Metadata Specialist to join our Data Risk and Compliance team.

In this role, you'll manage the business operations and configuration of our IDMC Business Glossary and Technical asset Catalogue, for a wide range of internal stakeholders.In this role you will perform in-depth technical data lineage analysis across key systems and processes, work with Data Stewards to translate complex technical code into meaningful business insights and relationships.

You'll support Data Owners in understanding and enhancing data flows, champion data management practices, and drive the adoption of our new IDMC tool for data democratisation and lineage across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesIDMC Business OperationsLed weekly and monthly IDMC Operational and planning forumsPlan new feature dropsMaintain business configurationsPromote the adoption of IDMC and its adoptionCreate processes to maintain IDMC content and support Data Stewards in curationProvide training and awareness sessionsData Lineage & GovernanceApply industry-leading data governance practicesAnalyse and document critical processes and data elementsEnhance business definitions, rules, and data quality measuresAssess control environments and ensure alignment with governance principlesTranslate technical lineage into standard metadata modelsConduct control assessments across key data processesProject ManagementCollaborate with Technology teams, including IT Architecture and Product OwnersParticipate in data domain forums and maintain decision / risk logsIdentify and manage risks, recommending remediation strategiesEnsure consistency across Group and WNZL data lineage artefactsReport project progress against key pillars and policiesStakeholder EngagementIdentify opportunities and build business cases for data initiativesPrepare executive memoranda to support governance initiativesInfluence and promote strong information management practicesManage communication with senior business partnersEngage with Data Owners, SMEs, and the wider information management communityNa tau rourou | What will you bring?
