Overview

Knighton Normal School seeks an enthusiastic, highly competent literacy specialist who is committed to helping each child attain their potential. The appointee will lead our literacy intervention programme throughout the school.

Position : Specialist literacy teacher

Status : Full time, Permanent

Context : Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

Subject focus : English

Responsibilities

• Lead the school-wide literacy intervention programme
• Support students to reach their literacy potential
• Collaborate with staff to implement structured literacy instruction
