Position

UX Designer (Freelance) at Twine

Overview

This role involves leading the redesign of a cybersecurity website for a company serving clients in government, finance, technology, and manufacturing. The objective is to create a modern, professional, and innovative online presence that positions the brand as a trustworthy leader in the cybersecurity sector. The successful candidate will avoid industry clichés, instead focusing on a unique, forward‑thinking brand image. The redesigned site must adhere to established branding guidelines, prioritize lead generation through clear calls‑to‑action and intuitive navigation, and include essential sections such as About Us, Services, Blog, and Contact. The internal team will handle development, CMS integration, and deployment, so the focus is on research, design, and handover.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and discovery to understand user needs and industry best practices
  • Develop and present design solutions through wireframes and interactive prototypes
  • Create a comprehensive sitemap and user flows to optimize navigation and lead generation
  • Design a cohesive design system and document all visual and interaction guidelines
  • Ensure all designs meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
  • Prepare and deliver all design assets and documentation for seamless handover (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with branding and business objectives

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven experience in UX design, particularly for B2B or cybersecurity‑related websites
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating modern, professional web design and user‑centered processes
  • Expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and design systems (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Ability to translate complex services into clear, engaging user experiences
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with established branding guidelines
  • Ability to deliver high‑quality assets and documentation for developer handoff
  • Availability for a single project with potential for future collaboration
