  • About the Role
  • We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to step into the role of Manager Mental Health Quality & Practice within our Pae Ora Services business group while we permanently appoint into the position.Reporting to the Chief Mental Health & Addictions Officer, this role leads a dedicated team focused on developing and improving mental health practice and policy across Ara Poutama Aotearoa. You will provide subject matter expertise and strategic leadership to ensure safe, high-quality mental health services are delivered to people in prison.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of mental health strategy and practice frameworks.
  • Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align services with sector standards and legislation.
  • Support national clinical governance and operational policy development.
  • Champion inclusive leadership and professional development within the team.
  • About You
  • We're looking for someone who :
  • Has at least 7 years' experience as a mental health clinician.
  • Brings strategic thinking and leadership experience in health settings.
  • Has strong knowledge of mental health practice, policy, and legislation.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to working effectively with Māori and upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Is a respected leader with a track record of driving change and building collaborative relationships.
  • Has experience in developing clinical policies, quality frameworks, and service design.
  • Qualifications and Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in mental health or related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in the health sector.
