About the organisationHe Waka Tapu is a Kaupapa Maori organisation who have been supporting individuals and the community for 30 years.

He Waka Tapu works to increase the health and wellbeing of Whanau.About the roleThis position leads the practice, reporting and management of Te Whai Oranga AOD and Community Nursing Team, in line with He Waka Tapu core principles, strategic plan and values.

This role will work collaboratively with the Service Delivery Operations Manager to ensure that service outcomes are met.This leadership role will ensure best practice standards are met or exceeded through continuous improvement and that a variety of assessment options and wrap around services are provided to whanau.

The Te Whai Oranga Manager will be able to successfully identify gaps in service delivery and kaimahi capability and provide solutions to the Service Delivery Operations Manager that will help improve service outcomes and develop our kaimahi.Skills and experienceExperience working with Maori and within a kaupapa Maori environment .

Experience as a senior practitioner in either Addictions (AOD), Social Work, or Community Nursing or experience managing a practice team.Leadership experience and the skills to develop highly effective teams.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain reciprocal working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Commitment and / or experience working in a Whanau Ora model.Alignment to He Waka Tapu values and core principles and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Benefits and perksOngoing professional development and trainingVehicle for work purposesLife and Health InsuranceOur CultureWorking together for the wellbeing of familyOur services are delivered using a kaupapa Maori framework encompassing Tinana (physical well-being), Wairua (spiritual well-being), Hinengaro (mental well-being), Whanau (family well-being).
