OverviewThe Technician, GSE Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of ground support vehicles and equipment used in aviation operations.
This role ensures that all hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery functions effectively, meeting safety, compliance, and operational efficiency standards within Unilode's MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform Maintenance and Repairs on Ground Support Equipment (GSE)Repair and service ground support equipment, including loaders, forklifts, GPUs, pushback tugs, stairs, ramps, passenger lifting devices, tow tractors, baggage carts, buses, trucks, and service vans.Conduct diagnostic tests and inspections to assess whether repairs or replacements are needed.Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to resolve equipment malfunctions.Ensure Compliance and Operational SafetyAdhere to aviation safety protocols and equipment maintenance regulations.Maintain a clean, safe, and organised repair shop.Keep accurate maintenance logs and service records for all GSE repairs and inspections.Support Preventative Maintenance and Inventory ManagementDevelop and follow scheduled maintenance plans for all ground support vehicles.Track and manage inventory of parts, tools, and consumables required for maintenance.Ensure that all tools and equipment are kept in working condition and calibrated regularly.Our Values in ActionBe Humble and Curious – Stay updated on the latest GSE repair techniques and innovations.Inspire, Empower, and Prosper – Work collaboratively to improve maintenance practices.Take Ownership and Get Stuff Done – Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.Build a Better Future – Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and sustainability in GSE maintenance.Team Up to Be Better – Support colleagues in achieving operational excellence.Be Passionate About Our Customers – Deliver high-quality service to keep equipment running smoothly.Be Eager to Win – Strive for continuous improvement in repair efficiency and equipment performance.The Small PrintThis role requires physical activity, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy components.
