Job Description

This role is all about business intelligence and clinical informatics systems – using them, identifying them, developing them, implementing them. You will :

  • Engage and support users, ensuring health information technology is selected, implemented and utilized effectively and appropriately to meet clinical needs
  • Maximise the organisational value of health information technology through development, evaluation and testing.
  • Develop clinical informatics tools and procedures including implementation and change management
  • Maintain the quality of MOSAIQ information (our patient information system), develop its functionalities and act as the primary liaison for it
  • Facilitate ongoing staff education
  • Identify and quantify business risks relevant to clinical informatics
  • Act as the primary liaison for external informatics stakeholders / vendors
  • Working with IT and St George’s Cancer Care management, identify, test and recommend tools that fit into the centre’s strategic direction
  • This is a part time 0.6 FTE position.

    It’s a given that you’ll be skilled at data analytics. The thing that will make you stand out is your inquisitiveness and ability to work collaboratively with people to find out what they need and translate this into meaningful outcomes. You’ll foster a positive team environment and will also have :

  • Degree in Information Technology or Health Discipline
  • Experience with health information systems, possibly even with MOSAIQ and will be confident with SQL database systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence to develop and hone your skills in your area of expertise
  • May have experience implementing new software and be ready to identify, develop and lead projects
  • Proactive and innovative approach to your work
  • The ability to work autonomously and play an integral part of the team
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to critique and utilise evidence to foster enquiry.
