Green by Nature is proud to be the Waitaki District Council's chosen service provider, entrusted with maintaining the beauty of the region's parks, playgrounds, and public spaces. Inspired by the region's natural beauty and the Council's forward‑thinking vision for the future, we are now looking for a reliable individual to join our team as a Facilities Operator responsible for rubbish and facilities across Waitaki and its surrounding areas.
What Does a Facilities Operator do?
First and foremost, you’ll have the opportunity to work in some of Waitaki's most picturesque locations. You’ll be responsible for the scheduled cleaning of public facilities, including bathrooms, barbecue areas, and rubbish collection. Ensuring that essential supplies like toilet paper are replenished is key to maintaining the functionality of the district’s amenities. Additionally, you will oversee the collection and maintenance of roadside bins within the main township and surrounding areas. When needed, you’ll also support the wider team on larger projects.
