Overall, the Restaurant Manager plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of a bar and restaurant, and must be capable of managing staff, inventory, finances, and customer service in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities :
- Overall planning, running and management of the business
- Provide an excellent level of customer service and drive a customer service culture across the restaurant
- Plan menus for the business as per the requirements in consultation with chefs
- Organise marketing activities such as advertising, promotional events, and so on
- Making sure that company policy standards are maintained
- Communication with suppliers and negotiate the price
- Manage stock level, ordering and keep recording updated
- Organising special menu for special function and bookings
- Hold functions as per the customer’s requirements
- Managing wastage and controlling labour costs
- Make sure, one can manage cash handling process
- Handle all the financial and budgeting tasks for the business independently
- Make the staff roasters and handle all the communications with staff
- Ensure quality control and responsible for running shifts
- Maintain the documentation as per the city council regulations
- Make sure the business meets the health, hygiene and safety regulations
- Maintains a clean and aesthetic appearance of the business for the customers
- Make sure the staffs are all well trained with liquor serving and rules are maintained well
- Hire, train and coach staff and drive performance
- Direct and motivate a team within a busy restaurant
- Complaint book need to be updated at every time with measure had been taken to solve these complaint and results
- Make sure that one can handle administration and keep paperwork updated
- Correspond with city council for required regulations
Experience / Qualification / Knowledge :
Diploma of higher qualification in business or work experience for 3 years or moreIf you hold the diploma or higher qualification then no experience is requiredWilling to secure LCQ qualification and Managers certificate after joining the positionHave a good understanding of hospitality industryKnowledge of ethnic food and spicesAble to work split shifts, weekends and public holidaysThis is a full-time position. You are expected to work 30 to 45 hours per week. The pay rate for this position will be between $30 to $34 per hour.
