You will work as part of a team and be based at Christchurch Hospital, and be available to provide chaplaincy services to patients, whanau and staff at Christchurch Women’s, Burwood and Hillmorton Hospitals.
Christchurch Hospital has 826 beds and provides Maternity, Medical, Children’s health and Surgical services.
Hospital Chaplaincy Aotearoa is a collaboration of a broad range of churches, that is committed to providing Christian Chaplains within Aotearoa New Zealand’s healthcare environment.
As Chaplain you will be part of multidisciplinary healthcare teams, working with other Chaplains across the hospital providing holistic care to all. You will gain experience and provide spiritual care to patients from every culture, life stage, denomination, faith‑orientation, belief, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

With your empathy and compassion, excellent listening and pastoral skills, and a good level of religious, spiritual, and theological understanding, this is an exciting and rewarding time to join our team. Your knowledge and experience in a ministry of pastoral care in a health or faith community leadership will be key to your success.
