Christmas Team Member (Shopfloor / Checkout) - The Warehouse, Whakatane

Overview

The Warehouse is looking for fixed-term seasonal Team Members to join during the peak Christmas period. Start dates vary from mid-September to mid-November and you’ll be with us until around mid-January. This role offers the potential for progression within The Warehouse Group beyond the holiday season.

On the shopfloor, you’ll help customers find everything they need for a special Christmas, whether it’s reaching a toy on the top shelf or pointing them to the right aisle. You’ll also support merchandising displays and work alongside our Night Fill elves to keep shelves stocked and sparkling. At checkouts, you’ll be the friendly face that helps customers wrap up their Christmas shopping. From scanning gifts to packing bags with care, you’ll make every transaction count. You’ll keep the front of house looking inviting, making sure last-minute stocking fillers are well-stocked. It’s all about creating a great in-store customer experience!

Responsibilities

Assist customers on the shopfloor and at checkouts; help maintain merchandising displays; support stock replenishment with the Night Fill team; ensure shelves are stocked and presented clearly for a positive in-store experience.

Qualifications

You’ll be right in the action, on your feet, helping customers, and keeping things moving. If you're someone who shows up, takes initiative, and works well independently and in a team, then this role is for you.

Retail experience is a plus, but what matters is your attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You get what great customer service is all about!
