The People Support team acts as the first point of contact for the business working with the wider People team.
As an Advisor - People Support you will be the trusted advisor providing sound advice using your knowledge of relevant legislation policies, procedures and our current processes.
You will be the advisory person for our people leaders to support them navigate through people related (Arawhata) queries in the HR space.You will be used to working to deadlines and prioritising your day as you work through employment offers, HR documentation and maintaining -people-related data and personnel files in Objective.ResponsibilitiesRelevant qualification or experience in providing HR advice.Extensive knowledge and understanding of HR policies, processes and services to be able to assist customers with their queries.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; ensures facts and figures are correct, complete and consistent.Good understanding of HR systems (Jade, Service Now) policies and processes to be able to assist customers with queries.Good written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and in plain language to a diverse audience.Willingness to accept responsibility and make decisions based on experience, education and understanding of business needs.Experience with electronic documentation and record management systems.Experience in problem resolution and escalation management.As a Kainga Ora - Homes and Communities employee, we want to make sure that you have all the tools and support you need.
