OverviewIn this unique role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the branch and ATM networks are always loaded with sufficient cash; resolve customer issues, complaints and claims with speed and accuracy; support the network with cash orders; respond to emails and enquiries from key stakeholders including cash service providers; and maintain the integrity and completeness of financial transactions and records.You will also reduce and mitigate risk and meet compliance requirements by ensuring audit trails are maintained on all cash transactions; reconcile settlement accounts daily, escalating any discrepancies to Manager within 24 hours; and continuously review tasks and processes for robustness and to meet compliance.ResponsibilitiesMaintain Westpac's commitment to excellent customer service by ensuring that branches and ATM networks are always loaded with sufficient cash, and resolve customer issues, complaints and claims professionally with speed and accuracy.Reduce and mitigate risk and meet compliance requirements by maintaining the integrity, compliance and completeness of cash transactions; ensure adherence to account reconciliation processes and escalate risk or exposure as appropriate.Support the network with cash orders and repats to and from Westpac vaults with our cash services provider.Handle phone enquiries and emails from customers and key stakeholders, including the cash services provider; proactively inform customers about claim outcomes.Initiate financial settlements between trading banks, Westpac's cash services provider and the Reserve Bank.Maintain the integrity and completeness of financial transactions and records.What you will bringA background in reconciliation work is essentialIntermediate level of Excel, with knowledge of VBA beneficialDemonstrated expertise in making informed decisions and resolving complex problems effectivelyProven ability to engage and support internal and external customersSome experience in the financial services industry advantageousUnderstanding of double-entry accounting principles and updating of financial recordsStrong numeracy and technical skillsOur OrganisationAt Westpac, we're working together to build a fairer and stronger New Zealand for our people, customers, and communities.
