Overview
Capital Works Operator - Auckland at Veolia Australia and New Zealand. The Capital Works Operator is primarily responsible for assisting in the delivery of water, wastewater and network repairs and upgrades.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Delivery of water, wastewater and network repairs and upgrades.
- Contribute to the operations team as required.
- Contribute to the management of the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems while applying the procedures in all aspects of work.

- Comply with Veolia New Zealand Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Policy Statements, including participation at local toolbox and health and safety meetings.
- Adhere to all written and verbal instructions, procedures and information issued by Veolia New Zealand related to health, safety and environmental issues and to the Integrated Business Management System Manual.
- Maintain compliance with the company business management system and the Quality Policy for drinking water, wastewater treatment and disposal to provide safe, high quality drinking water and wastewater services that meet or exceed contract requirements.
- Report problems with the business management system, particularly regarding health and safety, environment and drinking water.
- Undertake general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers.
What you’ll need to be successful
QualificationsNational Certificate Reticulation Water and Wastewater, working towards or willing to achieve the required training standard.
ExperienceExperience in water, wastewater and stormwater network operation and maintenance is advantageous.
Previous experience in service delivery and / or trade is advantageous.Other Relevant Skills Or InformationComputer literate.
Current driver’s licence (preferably Class 2).Ability and willingness to work out of hours when required. Ability to work away from home if necessary.What we offer
