Following standardised recipes and using creative flair to present food that we can be proud of while maintaining clean and tidy working areas.A large part of this role is customer focused so you will need strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.

Training will be provided.Salary and BenefitsStarting rate $28.63 per hour.

Based on the E tu Service and Food Workers collective agreement.

Time and a half on weekends and double time on Public Holidays!

ResponsibilitiesAssisting our cooks with preparing and presenting foodDelivering meals to our patients across the hospitalEnsuring that your workspace is clean and tidyShiftsPlease indicate on your cover letter which shift you are interested in : Shift 1 : 7am to 12pm working Monday through Friday – 25 hours per weekShift 2 : 3.30pm to 7.30 pm Thursday though to Sunday – 16 hours per weekAbout YouSkills and ExperienceSkilled kitchen assistant with experience within a similar environment would be idealStrong teamwork skills and the ability to work autonomously as wellPhysically fit and reliableHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
