Role Objective :
We're looking for a welcoming and detail-driven Reception and Office Administrator to join the team at Spark Arena in Auckland. This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys being the friendly face of a fast-paced venue, thrives on supporting others, and takes real pride in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Working at one of New Zealand's busiest live entertainment venues, you'll be the first point of contact for visitors, artists, clients, and partners, ensuring every interaction is warm, professional, and efficient. You'll handle reception duties, manage day-to-day office operations, and provide administrative support to colleagues across the business.

What you'll be doing :
Front-of-house service : Provide a friendly and professional reception experience for all visitors, callers, clients, and event attendees.Office coordination : Keep the office organised, stocked, tidy, and running smoothly, including stationery, kitchen supplies, couriers, and mail.Customer & stakeholder support : Assist with public enquiries on event info, parking, access, ticketing and more, ensuring all interactions are handled clearly and courteously.Administrative assistance : Support colleagues across the venue with general admin tasks and project support when required.Complaint handling : Respond to patron or client concerns politely and appropriately, following established procedures.Lost property management : Maintain accurate records, store items securely, and liaise with owners where possible.Health & safety contribution : Maintain onsite log books, follow Spark Arena's H&S requirements, and assist with tasks and training as needed.Team collaboration : Work closely with all QPAM staff, contribute to meetings and initiatives, and support a positive team culture.What we're looking for :
Reception & admin experience : Proven background in a front-desk or administrative role, with confidence managing competing tasks.Excellent communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and professionally.Customer service focus : A warm, service-minded approach and the ability to make every visitor feel welcomed and supported.Computer literacy : Confident using office software, email, and general administration systems.Attention to detail : Consistent accuracy across tasks, record-keeping, and communication.Calm under pressure : Ability to stay composed and helpful in a busy, fast-paced environment.Highly organised approach : Strong time-management skills and the ability to keep spaces and processes running smoothly.Flexibility & reliability : Willingness to adjust hours as needed and support the wider team when things get busy.The Benefits :
