Responsibilities

Are you ready to step off the tools and into a leadership role that makes a real impact? We're looking for an experienced tradesperson to lead our multi-disciplinary engineering services team at SkyCity Auckland. This is a hands-on supervisory role overseeing electrical, painting, upholstery, and carpentry services across our vibrant precinct. You'll manage daily operations, coordinate contractors, and ensure our facilities run smoothly and safely. From signing off rosters and purchase orders to supporting CapEx planning and compliance, you'll be the go-to person for keeping our property in top shape.

  • Lead a team of 8 direct reports and work closely with contractors and internal departments to ensure timely maintenance, repairs, and compliance.
  • Oversee electrical, painting, upholstery, and carpentry services across the precinct.
  • Manage daily operations, coordinate contractors, and ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Sign off rosters and purchase orders; support CapEx planning and compliance.
  • Lead in a fast-paced, 24 / 7 operational environment.

Qualifications

  • A current Electrical Licence (Electrical Workers Registration Board)
  • Experience supervising trade-based teams
  • Strong contractor management and communication skills
  • Multi-trade or appliance repair experience (a bonus!)
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, 24 / 7 operational environment
