✨ Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration
- Provide daily operations and guidance for the organization and National Council
- Maintain systems, processes, policies, and organisational wellbeing
- Be the first point of contact for enquiries and general administration
- Manage the ordering of new products for the store
- Oversee the production process of the membership magazine, Harvests
Finance & Bookkeeping
Manage accounts through Xero including invoicing, reconciliations, payments, and financial reportingAssist with budgeting and financial oversight for Council reviewMarketing & Sales
Oversee the marketing function.Assist in providing news and information to share with our members in our newsletters and socials to our Marketing Contractor.Grants & Funding
Research, prepare, and coordinate grant applications and funding opportunitiesSupport accountability reporting, partnership documentation, and funding relationshipsMembership & People Support
Manage membership enquiries, renewals, systems, and recordsHelp create a welcoming, connected, and supportive experience for membersDigital, IT & Systems
Maintain and update the Biodynamics NZ website and online resourcesConfident using digital tools including Office 365 and comfortable learning new platformsSupport improvements and simplification of CRM, database, and digital processesEvents & Learning
Coordinate online and in-person events, workshops, and Biodynamic Conference (August 2026)Assist with planning, logistics, registrations, and post-event communicationsAbout You
You’ll flourish in this role if you are :
Organised, calm, resourceful and solutions-focused, with a “pitch in and help” attitude.Someone with ideas, drive and enthusiasm to succeed.Experienced with Xero and confident with bookkeeping or financial adminSkilled with Excel and happy working with data and systemsIT savvy, adaptable, and curious about improving processesA warm communicator who enjoys supporting people and building relationshipsValues-driven and aligned with sustainability, regenerative land care, or community developmentKnowledge of biodynamics, organics, or land-based learning is wonderful and welcomed, but not essential — a genuine interest and willingness to learn is equally valued.Experience in the not-for-profit sector or a membership-based organization is an advantage.
