Are you an experienced API Tester ready to take on the next big challenge in digital banking?

We have an opportunity for a Senior Automation Tester to join our team in the Digital Channels domain at BNZ as we lead the charge in a major digital modernization effort.

Key responsibilities

Executing and analysing tests : performing manual and automated tests for new features and bug fixes, then analysing the results to identify issues.

Collaborating with the Agile Squad : working closely with developers and business analysts to discuss requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and ensure a shared understanding of quality.

Writing and maintaining test scripts : creating and updating automated test scripts to improve our CI / CD pipeline.

Investigating bugs : actively investigating reported bugs, reproducing issues, and providing detailed information to developers to help them find a solution quickly.

Leading quality efforts : mentoring junior testers, helping define testing strategies for new projects, and acting as a go-to person for quality-related questions.

Required skills and experience

5+ years of experience with creating and maintaining manual and automation frameworks.

Hands-on experience and understanding in creating automation test cases using Back-end : Java, REST Assured and Insomnia / Postman and Cypress.

Hands-on experience in AWS ECS / EKS and Openshift testing.

Experience in creating test strategy, creating and maintaining comprehensive test artifacts, including test reports, test plans, and other essential documentation.

Exposure to ready-to-code and ability to deliver code for white box testing.

Utilise JMeter for performance and load testing to ensure application responsiveness and scalability.

Experience in API testing, either manual or through automation frameworks with good understanding about Rest APIs and how they work.

Agile development analysis and problem-solving skills (Scrum and Kanban desirable).

Experience with Docker working within cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code.

Experience with Jenkins and / or similar CI / CD tooling – creating / maintaining pipelines and / or source code management systems – Git.

Experience with AWS and Kafka.

Experience in banking or financial services.
