About the Role
As our Cost Transformation Lead , within the Strategy and Enablement Function, you will drive our national efficiency and benefits programme across Procurement, Supply Chain and Health Technology Management (PSC&HTM), ensuring every dollar we invest delivers maximum value back into patient care.
This position is central to lifting performance and driving measurable financial outcomes. You will challenge assumptions, scrutinise delivery plans, and influence leaders to think differently about spend, value, and accountability. With a national mandate and strong partnership with Finance, you will design and embed value uplift frameworks, accelerate improvement initiatives, and ensure our system continuously unlocks efficiencies that endure over time.
You will champion innovation, empower better decision-making through insight, and ensure Health New Zealand delivers sustainable savings that strengthen our system and support equitable outcomes for communities across Aotearoa.
About the Team / Service / Location
The Procurement, Supply Chain and Health Technology Management (PSC&HTM) team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora are a national function with a vast and complex scope. They play a critical role in ensuring the availability, safety, and efficiency of clinical and non-clinical goods and services across the health system. Responsible for managing and influencing over $9 billion in annual spend, the team are central to delivering high-quality patient outcomes and standardising product usage across regions.
