The Company
Reefton Distilling Co., exploded onto the NZ gin scene in 2018 with their iconic Little Biddy Gin, and have since added the Moonlight Creek Whisky brand to their portfolio of international award‑winning spirits. The company is firmly focused on continued success.
Auckland or Christchurch based role, with travel required.
The Role
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for New Zealand and new markets that supports long-term growth objectives.
- Grow existing and secure new, international markets in collaboration with the Founder and Chief Executive.
- Manage key relationships, including the NZ distributor and direct trade customers, ensuring alignment with brand and commercial objectives.
- Analyse market trends, competitor movements, and customer insights to identify opportunities that drive innovation, guide product development, and shape commercial strategy.
- Maintain and optimise pricing strategies across channels in line with company goals and market dynamics.
- Support strategic client acquisition, including bid preparation, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
- Meet and exceed sales revenue and profitability targets.
- Plan and execute promotional activities across all channels to drive brand awareness and sales.
- Prepare and present monthly sales reports, analytics, and insights; presenting to the Board as required.
- Attend meetings, trade shows, and industry events to represent the company and grow brand visibility.
- Oversee brand direction and positioning in collaboration with the Founder and Chief Executive, ensuring consistency across all markets and channels.
Your Profile
Sensational relationship building skillsProven track record of driving sales and growth in established, authentic NZ brandsExperience and relationships in the spirits sector preferable (or wine / beer), or other FMCGEntrepreneurial spirit that thrives on taking ownership of the role and the marketProven negotiation and strategy experience, coupled with a visionary ability to identify opportunities and cultivate nascent marketsBe a self‑motivated professional, adept at working independently to achieve ambitious goalsCommercially savvy, highly self‑motivated and reliable.
