Seipp Construction is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex civil infrastructure projects across Auckland. Our work includes major water and wastewater pipelines, deep excavations, large concrete structures, live network connections and projects involving significant civil, mechanical and electrical interfaces. These are projects where strong construction knowledge, commercial control and detailed planning matter. You will need to understand how the work will be built, know where the project stands commercially and lead your team with clarity from commencement through to commissioning and handover. The opportunity Seipp delivers complex infrastructure for clients including Watercare and the New Zealand Defence Force. Our Auckland portfolio includes projects such as the Northern Interceptor connection at Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant, wastewater renewals at Clonbern Road and major potable water reticulation at RNZAF Base Auckland, Whenuapai. The work is technically demanding and often delivered around live, critical infrastructure. It can involve deep excavations, substantial temporary works, large-diameter pipework, major concrete structures, mechanical and electrical installation, testing and commissioning. We self-perform a significant proportion of our construction work. Our Project Managers are close to delivery and actively involved in methodology, labour, plant, productivity and programme. This is not a role where project management means administering subcontract packages from a distance. You will take full ownership of your projects, including: Safe, well-planned and high-quality project delivery Construction methodology, temporary works and staging Programme development, sequencing and resource planning Project cost control, forecasting and financial performance Contract administration, variations, claims and risk management Direct labour and plant productivity Managing subcontractors, suppliers and specialist disciplines Coordinating civil, mechanical and electrical interfaces Testing, commissioning and project handover Strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders Developing Project Engineers, Site Engineers and site leaders Providing accurate and timely reporting, with no surprises What you will bring You will be an experienced civil construction Project Manager with a strong record of delivering complex infrastructure projects from start to finish. You will also bring: Strong commercial and contractual capability Sound knowledge of New Zealand construction contracts, ideally including NZS 3910 Experience working for a self-performing civil contractor Confidence managing project cost, forecast, margin, claims and risk Strong construction knowledge and the ability to develop practical methodologies Experience delivering complex work around live or operational assets Experience leading site-based project teams A proactive approach to programme, planning and problem-solving Clear communication and the confidence to work directly with clients, consultants and delivery partners A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical construction experience Experience with water or wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, process infrastructure, pipelines or other multidisciplinary projects would be a significant advantage. You do not need to be a mechanical engineer. However, you will need to be comfortable taking ownership of projects through mechanical and electrical installation, testing and commissioning. You will understand how specialist packages connect to the overall construction programme and be able to bring the right people together to deliver the complete project. Most importantly, you will take ownership. You will know your projects, anticipate issues and maintain control across safety, programme, quality and commercial performance. Why Seipp? At Seipp, you will work on the kind of infrastructure that tests and develops experienced Project Managers. We offer: A salary of $170,000 to $180,000, depending on experience A company vehicle available for private use Complex and technically challenging water and wastewater projects Exposure to major civil, mechanical and electrical interfaces A self-performing construction model where Project Managers remain close to delivery Support from experienced operational, commercial, engineering and HSEQ leaders The opportunity to build capable project teams and contribute beyond your own projects A growing national business with a strong pipeline and clear direction The role will be based from our Auckland office and will be predominantly site-based across our Auckland projects. Our purpose is to make a difference through infrastructure delivery, contributing to better lives and healthier communities. We take pride in doing difficult work properly, looking after our people and building long-term relationships through the way we deliver. If you are commercially strong, close to construction and ready to lead complex infrastructure projects, we would like to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
