Consultant Psychiatrist - Home Based Treatment This role offers exceptional variety and the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of specialists both internally and externally. You will build and maintain strong working relationships and experience the full spectrum of psychiatry from enduring mental illness to trauma, grief, and acute distress You will be part of a supportive, caring, close knit team where no two days are the same Permanent, Full Time 44 hours / week Key responsibilities include: Providing clinical services Applying psychiatric expertise to ensure current knowledge, skills and attitudes inform clinical decision making Participating in clinical partnership to ensure client and family members receive integrated, effective, and efficient assessment and care About the Team and Service You will be a member of the Mental Health and Addictions Service arm of the organisation's Home Based Treatment (HBT) operates within the Crisis Assessment and Home Treatment (CAHT) team Crisis Team: Provides support to service users experiencing acute crisis in the community Responsible for assessment and short term care Experts in acute care management Operates 24/7 Home Based Treatment (HBT): Offers an alternative to hospital admission Provides a comprehensive, intensive package of intervention for up to 3 weeks Multidisciplinary and focused on supporting service users in the least restrictive environment If hospital admission is being considered, HBT is encouraged as the first option wherever appropriate About You To be considered, you will bring: Vocational registration in Psychiatry (or eligibility) with the Medical Council of New Zealand Versatility and flexibility with a passion for team based care Commitment to service enhancement and continuous improvement Dedication to eliminating health inequities Located in the heart of the North Island the unit operates across multiple sites, with Hamilton City as the main campus and several community based hospitals throughout the region Living in this region offers a lifestyle encompassing: Easy access to beaches and mountains Vineyard lunches and vibrant local culture Excellent primary and tertiary education Affordable living As part of this organisation, you will enjoy: Learning and development opportunities Flexible and agile working options Staff benefits and discount schemes A range of health and wellbeing services #J-18808-Ljbffr
