About the Role Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Site Engineer to oversee infrastructure projects in and around Queenstown . This role is crucial for ensuring the successful execution of construction activities on the ground, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards. You will act as the key technical liaison on-site, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and the client's project management team. This position requires practical problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively manage resources and schedules to achieve project milestones, contributing to essential development in the Eastern Cape region. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage all civil engineering construction activities on-site. Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Coordinate the work of subcontractors and manage site resources effectively. Conduct quality control inspections and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain detailed site records, including daily progress reports, safety logs, and material requisitions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a National Diploma in Civil Engineering. 3-5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction management role. Experience in road construction, bulk earthworks, or water infrastructure projects is advantageous. Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and relevant safety legislation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
