**Administration Officer - Rotorua*** Full time, Permanent position* Monday to Friday working hours* Be the warm, welcoming presence for people in our care**Mō te tūnga | About the role**We are currently looking for Administration Officers to provide support and administration services to our busy teams. Our wider Community Corrections team work with people who are serving community sentences, ensure they comply with the orders of their sentence, support rehabilitation, lead community work projects and play a key role in reducing re-offending and keeping our communities safe.As an Administration Officer you would be responsible for providing general administration duties which contribute to the efficient and effective running of our mahi within the office, could include:* Reception duties such as answering phones, taking messages, greeting visitors, coordinating meetings and other general administration tasks.* Liaising with organisations and services we work with.* Preparing documents for court and filing.* Purchasing materials and stocktaking.* Record management and ensuring correspondence, reports and other documentation meet Department timelines and standards.* Providing administration support to leadership team.* Contributing to site health and safety.* Upkeep of data entry* Managing general email inbox and allocation of tasks* Attending meetings and minute takingYou will also be people-facing and will have interactions with vulnerable people from the community when they arrive at our Community Corrections office, so you will need be comfortable working in this type of environment.**Mōu | About you**We are interested in hearing from people who have a genuine interest in our kaupapa and are motivated to support others in a team environment. The skills and experience required for the role include:* Strong experience and knowledge of office administration.* Sound knowledge of computer software and database systems including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), along with the ability to learn new systems quickly.* Excellent communication, teamwork, and people skills.* The ability to organise effectively, be adaptable, multi-task, and meet deadlines.* The ability to develop, foster and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of people.* Resilience when dealing with difficult situations in changing environments and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.* Alignment with our departmental values that shape the way we conduct our mahi.* Previous experience in the Government sector or similar environment that requires working with legislation and policies is desirable but not essential.You will also need a **Full New Zealand Driver Licence** for this roleApplicants must be a New Zealand citizen, New Zealand Resident Permit holder, Australian citizen or an Australian resident who holds a current Australian Resident Return Visa.**Ngā painga | The benefit**The salary range for this role (85%-120%) is $60,216 - $63,789 per annum.
