Stand at the stern of the canoe and feel the spray of the future biting at your face Mō te ūnga | About the role Te Pae Oranga is a Māori-led, New Zealand Police-supported initiative that uses tikanga Māori and restorative justice practices to address harm caused by offending. The kaupapa forms a core part of Police's shift to supported resolution outcomes that contributes directly to our Prevention First operating model that seeks to improve social wellbeing for all New Zealanders. This role provides critical analytical and business intelligence support to the Te Pae Oranga Programme. You will lead reporting and analysis activities, maintain programme dashboards, and provide evidence-based insights that support operational decision-making, programme improvement, and strategic planning. Working with stakeholders across Police and partner agencies, you'll identify trends, analyse performance and referral data, and translate complex information into practical recommendations that improve programme outcomes. Key Accountabilities Lead business analysis and reporting activities for Te Pae Oranga. Maintain and enhance programme dashboards and performance reporting. Analyse referral and performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making. Support programme reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and policy development. Develop reporting products and performance measures for a range of stakeholders. Build effective relationships with internal and external partners. Present complex information in a clear and meaningful way. Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex datasets. Experience developing dashboards, reports, and performance measures. The ability to turn data into actionable insights and recommendations. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently. Utu ā-tau | Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $111,529 and $129,277 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
