Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care.**About the Role**This role sits within the Northern Region | National Public Health Service (NPHS) and plays a key role in supporting cross-system delivery and performance improvement through robust data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. The position is one of four senior analysts located in regions across the country. The four regional analysts would work closely with the Immunisation Intelligence Team and Data and Insights Lead in the National Immunisation team for peer support and to ensure data extraction and analysis are of high quality and consistent with national standards. The role is also supported by regional leadership, clinicians, nurses, community providers, and public health stakeholders to provide insights that support achievement of health targets and improve outcomes for whānau and communities.**As a Senior Analyst, you will:*** Lead the coordination, validation, analysis, and interpretation of complex quantitative and qualitative data.* Develop high-quality reporting, briefings, and performance insights for senior leaders and executives.* Provide expert analysis and advice to support evidence-based decision-making. Identify opportunities for quality improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives.* Build strong relationships across regional and national teams, influencing outcomes through collaboration and trusted advice.* Coach and support colleagues to strengthen analytical capability and quality assurance practices.* Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and assessment approaches that help measure impact and improve performance.* Work with the four regional senior analysts to identify gaps or areas for improvement in the immunisation dashboards and reporting products used by the regions.You will thrive in environments where priorities and contexts may shift rapidly, demonstrating resilience and adaptability. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.**About you**You'll be someone who enjoys making sense of complex information, can see connections across systems, and is passionate about using data and evidence to improve health outcomes.You'll bring:* A relevant graduate and postgraduate qualification.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations.* Experience advising senior leaders and supporting strategic decision-making.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for technical and non-technical audiences.* Knowledge of performance reporting, business planning, and reporting frameworks.* The ability to influence and build productive relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.* A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity, and improving outcomes for Māori and Pacific communities.Ideally, you'll also have experience in public health, data analytics, business analysis, advisory, or a related field, together with strong skills in reporting and visualisation tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Qlik.
