Your Responsibilities Include Building independence: Help people grow their daily living skills, from catching public transport to cooking their own meals. Supporting daily life: Assist with personal care routines such as showering, getting dressed, taking medication and looking after their own home. Pursuing goals and interests: Encourage and support people to engage in their interests, hobbies, and personal goals. Staying healthy and well: Support healthy choices and overall wellbeing in a way that works for each person. Supporting complex behaviours: Provide calm, consistent support utilising positive behaviour strategies while ensuring dignity, safety, and respect. Creating connections: Support and strengthen relationships with whānau and the wider community.
