Graduate Surveyor / Intermediate Survey Technician Tauranga



A great opportunity for a Graduate or Intermediate Survey Technician looking to build their career with a small supportive surveying team in Tauranga.


Im currently working with a small surveying company in Tauranga that is looking to add a Graduate or Intermediate Survey Technician to their team.


They work across a good mix of residential industrial and rural projects throughout the Bay of Plenty giving you exposure to a broad range of surveying work.

This is a hands-on role where youll work closely with a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor gaining practical experience across both the field and office sides of surveying.

Its a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their technical skills increase their responsibility and work towards becoming a well-rounded surveyor.


The role


Youll be involved in a variety of surveying projects including:


  • Pre-field calculations and data preparation
  • Cadastral boundary definition
  • Topographical surveying
  • Cadastral fieldwork
  • Construction setout
  • Post-field reductions and data processing
  • Basic plan and deliverable preparation
  • General technical and administrative support

What were looking for


The ideal candidate will have:


  • A Bachelor of Surveying or National Diploma in Surveying or be currently completing the National Diploma
  • A valid drivers licence
  • Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
  • Experience using GNSS and Total Station equipment
  • Basic understanding of cadastral boundary definition
  • Basic 12d experience
  • Basic AutoCAD experience
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in surveying
