About the Role Our client is seeking a highly competent and experienced On-Site Maintenance Engineer to join their critical operations team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is essential for ensuring the continuous and optimal functioning of complex industrial equipment and systems within the designated service area. You will be responsible for proactive maintenance, swift diagnostics, and effective repairs, playing a key role in minimizing downtime and maintaining production efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on engineering professional with a robust understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, committed to delivering exceptional on‑site service within the Installation & Maintenance sector. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment. Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques. Execute timely and effective repairs, including component replacements and system overhauls. Oversee and participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, including equipment history, parts used, and labor involved. Provide technical guidance and support to site operations staff as needed. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Significant experience as an On-Site Maintenance Engineer or in a similar field service engineering role within Installation & Maintenance . Strong expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex industrial equipment. Proficiency with relevant diagnostic software and testing equipment. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work autonomously under pressure. Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel frequently within the Eastern Cape region.
